Glorioso's Italian Market: Your Destination for Authentic Italian Delicacies in Milwaukee

I'm old school Sicilian. You will find no other Italian market/bakery/deli like Glorioso's. I remember seeing 'Papa G' back in 1981, behind the meat/deli counter w/the old fashioned butcher hat on, a striped butcher apron. He was the spitting image of my Uncle Jim. He always knew when he saw me, it was lasagna time! Such memories! Go to this msrket market. You will be back again & again! Quality is top notch!!

First off, I had only heard Great things about this market. From locals and from online forums. They are right, best Italian subs and pastries outside of Italy. A must try for anyone in and around the milwaukee area.

Date of visit: August 27, 2025 Easily visible on street corner. Street parking. Fantastic Italian market, deli, meat counter and bakery with wide range of Italian offerings. Grocery had pastas, sauces, herbs, spices, wines, olive oils, etc. Frozen department had packaged Italian sausages, prepared soups, lasagna, etc. Liquor department had a nice choice of wines and more. Fresh bakery provides you with a choices of pastries, macaroons, cookies, tiramisu, breads and the list goes on. Fresh meat case had steaks, Italian sausage and sausages. Fresh deli case offers fresh salads and ready to slice meats and you can order sandwiches to go. In store deli case offers a large variety of cheeses and prepared meats. There is a small produce section. Dairy case offers basic staples of milk, butter, eggs, etc. Dining area inside with outdoor sidewalk tables also available. ATM inside and ice for purchase as well. Bathroom was clean. To eat immediately, we ordered an Italian Beef and Felice sandwich. Pastries we sampled: Baklava, Cornetto, Calzone. All of it was delicious. To eat at a later date we did get 6 Hot Italian sausages. Employees were pleasant; several greeted us throughout the store Overall, very impressive place, and I would definitely return. Came to Milwaukee on vacation and this came up as a spot to visit for food. Very glad we stopped in. The subs from the deli were delicious. Fresh cuts, fresh cheese, and soft seeded bread. The bakery was also a hit, we had so many Italian cookies (Kolachy) and pastries. The store also sells coffee, no surprise also fresh and well prepared cappuccino. We ended up coming back everyday to try something new. This is as authentic of an Italian market as it gets. Great selection of local and international cheeses, wines, pastas, and in house premade pizzas/garlic bread. Make time to stop in and enjoy.

Loved this place. The prices were fair and I only regretted getting the large Italian beef because it was generously loaded. Great sandwich with the au juice and peppers, but I'd go with a regular. The store looks amazing and is a very iconic piece of history with a visit.

Outstanding local family owned Italian deli and grocery that’s been here for decades. Today we got a couple sandwiches and sat outside. Affordable, tasty and very fresh.

A fantastic little market and deli on Brady St. Tons of fresh meats and Italian treats. I had the Italian Beef sandwich from the deli and it was great. The bread was super fresh and there was a generous portion of beef on it. Overall worth a visit for the sammies but the store is fun to explore too.
